Candle Safety

When burning your scented candle for the first time allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar. Allow your candle to burn for 3-4 hours on the first burn. This will ensure an even burn throughout the candle and will avoid what is known as tunnelling, where only part of the wax melts.

Before you relight your candle trim the wick to approx. 5mm. and ensure the wick is centred. Also ensure there are no wick trimmings, or any other debris in the wax

Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours. The glass will get too hot and could break and the wick could fall to the side.

The wick controls the candle, if your flame is too high, flickering or smoking, extinguish the candle and trim the wick.

If soot forms on the inside on the container, clean off with a damp cloth.

Always burn your candle on an even fire resistant surface and away from fabrics, curtains, pets and drafts etc.

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not leave a candle burning unattended.

When the candle has burned down to ½ inch please do not use any further. You can reuse your container as a pen or plant pot. Ideas on our Instagram page!
